Common questions
My fortunes aren't arriving as notifications
- Open the iPhone Settings app, tap Notifications, then Fortunity, and make sure Allow Notifications is on.
- In Fortunity, go to Settings › Delivery and check that Notifications is switched on.
- Check that a Focus mode (like Sleep or Do Not Disturb) isn't silencing them.
- Use Settings › Send me a test fortune to check everything works.
How do I add the Home Screen widget?
- Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
- Tap Edit, then Add Widget.
- Search for Fortunity, pick a size and tap Add Widget.
How do I add the Lock Screen widget?
- Touch and hold your Lock Screen, then tap Customize.
- Choose Lock Screen and tap the widget area under the clock.
- Pick Fortunity and tap the size you like.
Fortunes stopped after a few days
Fortunity plans your upcoming fortunes in advance and tops them up in the background. If Background App Refresh is off for Fortunity (Settings › General › Background App Refresh), just open the app now and then to keep them coming.
How do I change my topics or schedule?
Open Fortunity and tap the Settings tab. Changes take effect right away.
Is the magic 8 ball real fortune-telling?
No. The magic 8 ball and lucky numbers are just for fun, a playful nudge when you need one.
Does Fortunity collect my data?
No. There's no account, and everything stays on your iPhone. See our privacy policy.
