Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Fortunity is built to be private. This policy explains what the app does and doesn't do with your information.
The short version
Fortunity does not collect, store or share any personal information. There is no account to create, no ads and no tracking.
What stays on your iPhone
To work, Fortunity saves a few things only on your device:
- the topics you chose
- your schedule and delivery preferences
- the fortunes you've received and the ones you've saved
This information never leaves your iPhone. We can't see it, and it isn't sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.
Notifications
Fortunity schedules reminders on your iPhone using Apple's local notifications. These are created on your device. They aren't sent from a server, and no push token or identifier is collected.
Widgets
The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read your latest fortunes from a storage area shared only between Fortunity and its own widget, on your device.
Motion
The magic 8 ball uses your iPhone's motion sensor so you can shake to ask a question. Motion data is used in the moment and never stored or shared.
Sharing
When you tap Share, iOS opens its standard share sheet. You choose where the fortune goes, and Fortunity doesn't see or keep a record of it.
Analytics and third parties
Fortunity contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software, and it doesn't share data with third parties.
Children
Fortunity is suitable for all ages and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version on this page. If Fortunity ever starts collecting data, we'll explain what and why before it happens.
